Research Experience:

Since 2008, Meng Liu has been engaged in studies on water and sediment movement and waterway regulation in the Yangtze river estuary. He has presided over and participated in more than 20 scientific research projects. As the first author, he has published more than 30 papers and two monographs (both independent authors).

His representative works include:

(1) analysis of macro-dynamic reasons for the change of back silting volume in the deep water channel of the north channel of the Yangtze river estuary (the second prize of the first excellent scientific and technological paper of Shanghai water conservancy society in 2013);

(2) analysis of controversial issues on the causes of returning silt in the deep channel of the north channel of the Yangtze river estuary (in 2015, won the first prize of excellent scientific paper in Shanghai water conservancy industry);

(3) a study on sediment exchange in the beach and channel and the causes of backsilting in the channel in the dammensha river section of the Yangtze river estuary (monograph, 2016);
